Constituency
Name
Catrin Thomas
As a Welsh woman and former student at Swansea University, I am deeply committed to standing up for Wales and the wonderful, welcoming people who live here. After living and working in London for 15 years, my husband and I returned to Wales (where better?) to raise our young family. This has turned out to be one of the best decisions of our lives, and it is a large part of the reason why I now want passionately to give something back to our part of the world.
Biography
To put it briefly: I want to reverse the damage that successive governments in Westminster and the Senedd have caused over the past 25 years.
As an MP, I would fight hard against burdensome taxes, rates and red tape on businesses and individuals. I would seek to address housing shortages, income disparity, and deteriorating transport and road systems. I know that some areas in the constituency suffer disproportionately from the cost-of-living crisis and the terrible state of the NHS & dentistry services, and I will do everything I can to try to reduce these unfairnesses.
I will fight for and support working people who just want to get on with their lives, earn a decent living, take care of their families, and help their communities, with as little interference from government as possible. We have all had enough of bizarre vanity projects and nonsense schemes. It’s time for positive moves, based on common sense, to benefit the majority of the population.
I look forward to serving the people of Gower on behalf of Reform UK.
